I was commissioned by a local book shop to create a set of bookmarks to stock in their store. After some back and forth, we decided on bookmarks based on a Nordic art style, with clean shapes and many small details.

I wanted both bookmarks to have the same theme, but contrasting color palettes. The theme was birds, as the owner owns chickens and wanted to relate the bookmarks back to her and the store. One was specifically chicken based, while the other was a more simple general songbird to appeal to a wider range of customers.

As a fan of birds myself, it was such a fun project to take on, and seeing my illustrations in her shop was exciting to experience. I have multiple of each bookmark to use myself, and its always satisfying to mark my place in a good book with these.
